The drive should work with MKM 001 media at 2.4 and 4x with the firmware you have. I burned several Verbatim Double-Layer medias with no problem... :thanks: CWR0328th December 2008, 01:14Is this a single data file you're burning as a data disk? Check your ASPI layer configuration. Try choosing Save as Disc Image and then burning the disc image using the Image File setting in the Toast Copy window. I've been able to burn Memorex dual-layer disc with ease, until a recent batch and they fail during power calibration.
Three years is a healthy period of time for a burner to be well behaved.
