It's using the FireGL driver and the correct lib is listed in the log, so maybe one of the kernel updates fixed it?!? optirun-glxgears still behaves the same, and dmesg still has the same output, but I posted its output here https://gist.github.com/randunel/8153976 just in case you want to check it out.
Anyway the problem may be that the game is using some feature not implemented in your libGL, or using a feature in a unexpected way, the only way to know what It probably has something to do with the features the radeon driver supports or doesn't I guess.
