If I remember it well, it does have an effect (again, in a try/catch block). Other than that, I don't know. Does anyone know how I can get past it? My solution for now is putting both the swf and videos on the same domain and in my test environment just populating the bitmapdata with transparent pixels so nothing breaks. I am getting the following error: SecurityError: Error #2123: Security sandbox violation: BitmapData.draw: file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/bla...bla...bla.swf cannot access null.
