However, when I plugged the data cable back in, *then* I was able to get into the Format menu and wipe/reformat the memory card, and that solved the problem. Thanks for the excellent advice. Anonymous with the "felled" camera,Recommend trying the toothpick fix as shown in the video. Wrapping card with tape did work all right for me . Source Toothpick worked!!!!
