Use very little of this. Just got home yesterday and i tried tip #7 today. While doing these, listen for a click that indicates that the lens barrel guide pins have reseated in their guide slots. Turned it on and then off again and the lens cover finally closed.

I tried to fix it using compressed air blown into the gaps between the lens barrels but that didn't seem to make any difference. After reading this website i tried the twist method and found it worked!!!!
