Ok, i know this sounds weird but i got upset that it wasn't working so a banged my camera against my desk a few times.... I have used this card for years, never a problem. I tried all of this when I had a "memory card error" message on my Panasonic Lumix due to not formatting then deleting pictures via the camera (my diagnosis) but none I was able to view the card on my laptop before the error message on the camera.

In the System folder, find a file called mmcstore 4. My camera wont let me format in the camera. You can see the contents of your SD card in your camera as well as in your system, but unable to copy these contents and get an error message that disk The toothpick tip didn't work, but amazingly the tape trick worked! THE TAPE WORKED FOR US!!!! i tried to take another shoot, suddenly a red text saying 'memory card is right protected'.the pictures taken can be viewed but the taking pictures is impossible. if i go to turn the camera on regular no issues without a card in it i can take up to 14 pics i believe it is with internal memory. Some card readers or host devices are not compatible with the larger SDHC and SDXC cards.

Although you can also get access to your card by reformatting it, it will remove everything on the card.
